The luxury French brand Elitis, founded by Patrice Marraud des Grottes, has been offering wall coverings since 1988. Des Grottes had an enormous love for the Greek islands, the sun, the blue sea and the sky, but Des Grottes also had a great fascination with words. The Élitis brand is named after the Greek poet Odysseas Elytis who brought together the aspects that Des Grottes so appreciated in his poetry.
The French brand strives to be innovative in wall decorations. The philosophy that Élitis wants to convey is that it dares to be brave and knows how to innovate and wants to discover what is possible in the field of furniture upholstery and wall coverings as a true explorer.
Under the motto 'always be one step ahead of the latest techniques', they discover and experiment until they come up with a surprising creation again. Each design is created by its own 'in-house' designers and artists, who are inspired by fashion, film, photography, art, architecture, travel and poetry.
