Walter Knoll
The German company Walter Knoll produces very high-quality furniture at an international level for both the business and private markets. However, it started small. In 1865, Wilhelm Knoll opened a leather workshop in which he sold customers luxury handbags, exclusive clothing and leather furniture. The second generation, in the person of son Walter, was more ambitious and founded a new company, which was taken over by Benz in the 1990s.
Walter Knoll's furniture collection ranges from avant-garde classics and design icons to new, contemporary award-winning designs. They work closely with top designers such as Toan Nguyen.
In addition to furniture, Walter Knoll also has a carpet collection, called Legends of Carpet. These hand-knotted rugs, inspired by the beautiful African landscape, are made in Nepal with the best wool, silk and nettle yarns.
