Stylish Apartment with a Touch of Parisian Charm

In November 2021, our clients, passionate travelers with a love for the good life, planned an online appointment at Flexform Amsterdam for a unique interior design. They had recently moved into their new apartment and taken their old furniture with them for the time being, but they were ready to create a warm retreat where they could make new precious memories after many years of travel. Located in a renovated bank building, basic facilities such as the kitchen, bathroom and floor were already present.

As avid travelers, our clients wanted to create a cozy 'home base'. They found the perfect match with Zoë Zoutman, interior designer at Flexform Amsterdam. With the open kitchen and plenty of seating, they wanted a space where they could comfortably spend endless evenings with friends and family. The inspiration from the time they lived in Paris is subtly woven into the design, with one preferring classic and the other for a more minimalist approach.

The result is an elegant atmosphere with a touch of Parisian style, in which textures play the leading role. Warm colors such as yellow ocher, brown and cream tones bring the memories of their travels to life. With the Arco dining room chairs, Adda sofa and Sveva armchairs from Flexform, luxurious materials such as wood and steel are combined with soft fabrics and leather. Organic shapes meet clean lines, embellished with gold accents for a touch of glamour. The Arte Manila wallpaper nods to the fountains of Paris, a beloved symbol for our clients.

In contrast to the abundant light in the apartment, we wanted to give the bedroom an intimate atmosphere. Deep cobalt blue tones and subtle patterned wallpaper behind the bed create a feeling of security. Velor wallpaper on the side walls radiates softness, while accents of brown and gold form a seamless connection with the living room.
