Our history since 1905

As early as 1905, our great-grandfather, Co van der Horst, started in the world of interior textiles as a peddler with a backpack full of household textiles. His passion and entrepreneurial spirit quickly led to success, which made him switch from a backpack to a dog cart, and eventually to a horse and cart.

Co van der Horst became an established name in Amstelveen and the surrounding area for people looking for quality and craftsmanship in interior textiles. He could never have dreamed that his modest start in 1905 would lay the foundation for a family business that still proudly bears his name 120 years later. Today, we continue this rich tradition with our dedicated Home Couture department, where quality, expertise and a passion for interior fabrics are key.
